DINNER HELP
So latley Brian and I feel like we cook all the same stuff and everything is just getting so bland. We dont seem to have alot of time or mney to be cooking big things. Does anyone have any fast, easy, cheap dinner ideas? We are not really picky. We eat pretty much anything, I'm just running out of ideas. HELP!!!!!
I have a couple links to food blogs on my blog, I always like to get ideas from them. Because usually they are fairly simple and pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI go through cooking cycles where I am really good at making dinner, and then sometimes we just eat cereal.
Good luck!
I LOVE my crockpot. Do you have one? I have some easy recipes if you do.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise good standbys in our house are:
Chicken and Rice (can of cream of mushroom, chicken, rice, water - directions on cream of chicken can) Bakes for 45 minutes.
Cranberry Chicken: 8 oz catalina dressing - I get a 16oz at walmart for $1.58 so I can use it twice, half a packet of brown onion soap mix, 8 oz of cranberry sauce (with or without berries). Mix together and add chicken. Bake for 1.5 hours. Serve over rice. Yummy
New one I tried this week. It was good. And we could eat from it a few times. Same with the other recipes.

Jiffy Pizza Dough Mix (You can get them for 39 cents sometimes. Add pizza sauce and cheese or other topppings. Easy and cheap. We also tried bbqing the dough for 5 mins. Flipping it over, adding the toppings and cooking another 5 -8 mins. I like having a salad with this.
Shake and Bake Chicken Mix. Easy and yummy.
I am with Kim, I love my crockpot! we usually do Roast on Sundays with carrots and potatoes. Taco salad is a good one too, Ground beef with fritos, and then the toppings you would like. I love stuff with chicken! Chicken burgers w. avocados and swiss cheese:) I have not done this one forever but you could do Manicotti too, itis not hard at all, just get manicotti noodles , cook noodles, stuff with Rocotta cheese, I also had cooked spinach, put in casserolle dish when stuffed and then put marinara on top with cheese.
